Stopped in for drinks, and experienced a bit of a wait due to an emergency. Only one bartender.

The security guy attempted to cater to the bar, and was not very knowledgeable on location of items or pricing (that's not his job) but when you've been waiting for over an half hour, it's pretty frustrating to watch an amateur fumble around the bar. Then again, they're just drinks, right? (:

The environment is safe, and fun and you will definitely make friends at the bar if your open to others tipsy conversation.

When the bartender returned, service was quick and easy.

I wasn't "wow'd" by my experience, but it wasn't a bad one either.

Decided to go back as we've always had a great food and great service at O'Garas.  Well, yesterday after the Color Run we didn't.

I ordered the same wild rice omelette as I did in 2016. Well this year it wasn't even really an omelette.  I was slightly warmed grated potatoes (can't even call them hash browns because there was nothing brown about them), with 5 pieces of chicken, a few grates of swiss cheese with an inch thick piece of overcooked scrambled egg on top with about an 1/8 cup of wild rice soup on top.  There wasn't much moisture so my breakfast was really dry.  Years past, as you can see there was over a cup of wild rice soup over the top.

My friend ordered the regular breakfast with over-easy eggs. Her eggs were over-hard and with dry hard cooked yolks with brown speckles on top. She said the eggs had a sweet taste which was very off putting. She didn't even eat the 2nd egg.

Hubby's burger came out nice.   The bloody mary's were tasty and cam with a tiny can of Coors as back.  Our server was nice but didn't check back with us about our meal until we were already done.  Didn't offer any hot sauce or anything after she dropped our food.

Sadly, I think we got the B squad kitchen staff on a Sunday.  We will take our business elsewhere for after the race next year.

O'garas is the kind of place that has no frills and filled with Irish history. There are multiple dining areas and bars within the place, I almost got lost it felt so big. Each area has a little bit of a different vibe but bartenders are attentive and friendly everywhere.

They also throw quite the St. paddy's day party with live music and lots of beer, even some Red Bull to stay energized.  The crowd varies but can often be college kids later in the night.

I didn't eat when I visited but the giant plates of burgers and Rubens looked phenomenal. I really need to come back before they tear it down to build the apartment buildings.

We've been coming to Ogara's for the music in the garage or St Patty's Day celebration since well before this millennium.  The food was usually an afterthought and passable.  The atmosphere can't be beat.  A bit dark and tries to be reminiscent of what you would imagine a real Irish pub might be like (silly Americans).

Tonight we all dined here before a real live Rock and Roll show in the Garage.  Seemed easiest.  Wish we'd thought harder on where else to eat. Yep, it was busy.  We understand things take longer.  After an hour of waiting after we ordered, and telling them we were going to the show that was starting soon, we finally got our food.  Had they just brought it out when it was ready, maybe we would be ok.  All of it was cold.  Ridiculously cold.  They have heat lamps, right?  This stuff must've been sitting on the counter back there for 20 minutes.  Alright, they screwed up on a busy night.  I can get past that.  But the replacement food they brought was so, so mediocre.  At best.  Ruebens, Chicken sandwiches, salad, chili (which was obviously just microwaved to hell), and burgers.  Boring, boring, boring.  Uninspired.  Bland fest.

This is a fun place to gather and tip a few beers back.  The Garage is a great venue for local music.  But the food?  Nope. No way. Nah-Ah. Never. Notgonnahappen.

    Oh god. O'Gara's.

This is a review just on their bar scene. O'Gara's is your classic Irish Pub which is cool, I guess. They feature a couple different rooms, bars and a stage, and sometimes the lingering smell of cabbage. When I came here drinking on the weekend, I liked the vibe and locals... until 11pm rolled around and 300 chaotic 21 year olds came through. They were unruly, messy, overcrowded and apparently I aged rapidly that night.

I can't tell if I love or hate St. Patty's day here. They set up a big tent in the parking lot, which features a DJ, dance floor, cash bars, and food inside. It again is overly crowded and unorganized but at least they add some (nasty) porta potties to the mix. You will pay $4 for a one ounce mixed shot which is 99% mixer.

Overall, drink prices are higher than what I'd assume for a divey pub. $7 for a rail drink or shot, which are poured extremely lightly. I had a whiskey-ginger and it just tasted like soda water.
